Name: Ivysaur

Personality: Ivysaur is calm, level-headed, yet very unaproachable. Her past has shaped her personality into that which seems to come off as cold and reclusive since she doesn't let herself get close to others or vice versa. She seems very strict with her teammates as well, reprimanding Charizard for her foolishness sometimes, but she means well. Ivysaur is truly a gentle pokemon/girl and regards her team as family. She is ever faithful to them, especially Red, and would do anything to avoid letting them down or dissapointing them. In that sense, she is very hard on herself and has low self esteem, in general.

Backstory: However, that low self esteem pits back to her past... Ivysaur grew up in the Kanto region as a normal Bulbasaur, eventually being chosen as some new trainer's starter pokemon. She eventually evolved into the Ivysaur she is today, but with her evolution something went wrong and she was abandoned by her beloved trainer. Released into the wild, she stayed in one spot; her self worth and will to live broken by her abandonment. That is, until one day when Red showed up while visiting a nearby town.

Ivysaur constantly kept to herself, despite the trainer's constant visits, and generally ignored him when he did so. She was faithful to her previous trainer-- no need to even acknowledge another. As it seems, just to kick her while she was down, one day she was attacked by a wild pokemon. With no one to help her, and her will to live completely gone at this point, she let herself get attacked. Tackled, bitten, the random attack continued until it just--stopped. Her attacked was blasted to the side and suddenly she was being scolded for being reckless and letting herself get hurt as she did; not because she was worthless--useless (the words her previous trainer had used to curelly against her).

The worry. The fret. Coming from both Red and his Squirtle; Ivysaur realized... maybe he wasn't so bad. Maybe he would accept her in this evolution. She put her trust and loyalty in the hands of Red thereafter as they traveled and adventured together. Keeping ever faithful to him; countless battles were won with her at his side. Until of course, that fateful battle with Green. (It's always that one day. That one battle, isn't it?) They were losing. Red was getting caught up in the moment, and Ivysaur didn't want to let him down. Solar beam. Too powerful. She hurt him and it was devestating for her.

With that in the back of her mind, she moved with Red to SumaBura with the hope to earn his forgiveness (even though he already did!) and become stronger. She wanted to make him-- Squirtle and Charizard-- proud to have her on their team.

Recent events make her wonder how... sane the school (and its students and faculty!) are... but she's sticking to her goal. She wont leave Red's side again.

Anything Else?: explination behind "fushigisou" just because: "Its Japanese name can be taken to mean it seems strange, or 不思議 草 fushigi sou strange grass." Thank you Bulbapedia. I see Ivysaur as one having a very sophisticated vocabulary despite her being a pokemon; thus I will be abusing dictionary.com.
